
Richard Nohe is an experienced legal executive and strategic advisor with a focus on business transformation, regulatory governance, and infrastructure-scale operations in technology-driven environments. He has led global legal and compliance functions across regulated industries and complex, multi-jurisdictional organizations.
Richard currently serves in a contract engagement supporting a leading hyperscale cloud provider on data center legal operations and construction matters, including infrastructure development, vendor frameworks, and operational risk management. He also serves as a Legal Domain Expert for Mercor’s APEX-Agents benchmark, contributing real-world legal workflows and evaluation frameworks used to design and assess advanced AI systems in high-stakes professional contexts.
Previously, Richard served as General Counsel for BT in the Americas, where he sat on the regional board and the board of BT Federal. His leadership portfolio included cross-border employment governance, regulatory compliance, and large-scale digital and infrastructure operations across more than 30 countries. Earlier roles include Vice President Global Real Estate and Managing Director Europe at AboveNet, and Vice President Strategy & Law at NTT, where he led legal strategy and government affairs, including oversight of its Washington, DC office.
Richard has been recognized by The Legal 500 for his leadership and served on Capitol Hill as a Brookings Institution Fellow with the House Ways and Means Committee. He holds degrees from Augusta University (BA), NYU (MPS), and New York Law School (JD), along with an executive certification from MIT Sloan. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Texas.
